I’ve been working with Miguel Sternberg and Andrew Pilkiw of Spooky Squid Games on their game, Guerrilla Gardening:Seeds of Revolution. Based on the street art movement of the same name, GG is a fun stealth game where you get to fill the citizens with cheerful insurrection from neighbourhood to neighbourhood by planting flowers illegally. Here’s a link to their YouTube page.
One thing that I’ve gotten the chance to do is to develop the game’s character portraits. Here you can see the sinister General Bauhaus looking both stern and austere in his uniform. He’s lookin’ sharp, eh?
Anyways, if you want to learn more about the game, I really encourage you to head to Spooky Squid Game’s development blog. They go into detail on how they develop the game, as well as in-game art…and of course, more of my nifty artwork for this sweet game!
I woke up to a broken link for Streta today! That’s totally doubleplusungood. Is it just me, or did everyone wake up to a broken link for the new page?
Well, that brings us to the end of Chapter one. Come back next wednesday for the start of chapter two!
Sorry I’ve been a little quiet lately…I’ve been working on a bunch of stuff. The most recent thing that I can showcase here is a picture of Wolverine, done for the Joe Shuster Awards Art Auction. The work will go on display at the Speakeasy Comic Show on November 5th. After that, the work will go up for sale on eBay…so sharpen up those credit cards!
The proceeds go towards helping to fund the Joe Shuster Awards, a nonprofit organization that helps to recognize and raise awareness of Canadian creators, retailers and publishers in the field of comics.
I’m pretty honored to have another piece for their efforts…and if you’d like to see my previous Superman piece, just click here!
